The Complete Mega Man Soundtrack

Tonight I acquired the complete original soundtracks of Mega Man 1-6 for NES. Although I only really ever played Mega Man 2 and 3 on an emulator, they are all a good listen. This might be my playlist for the next couple days.

You guys would probably enjoy this more than I, so I'll burn you each a copy if you'd like.

Very weird. But, yes, you're probably right that I'll want a copy of that.

In my last year in the Kiltie Band one of the other seniors made a very busy marching band transcription of the final scene/ end credits music from Mega Man 3 (all five or six minutes of it), then quit the band when Mr. Gerlach wouldn't include it in any of the shows. I thought that was pretty ungrateful of the student, considering that the band rehearsed his piece three or four times so that he actually got to hear it... My point is that this kind of music has a lot of geek capital.

No . . . no, not for me. Thanks. Extending this offer is, by the way, a good way to tell me & Nate apart.

I'm intrigued, Mike, that this is the only thing you've thought fit to post on the blog for the past two months.

Mega Man 3 was a great game. I can vividly remember playing it for the first time when I was out of school sick sometime in the fifth grade. It was a treat to play Nintendo for an entire uninterrupted day without having to take turns with your brothers.

Same genome, Jack. There but for the grace of God.

I have the same recollection of having Mega Man 3 all to myself while home sick. In fact I think I was the first of us to get sick, so I got the first crack at it. (I got pretty good at the Top Man stage, which I still consider one of "my" levels to play, since we tended to divvy them out.) That would have been 5th grade, and I had an ear infection. We had also rented The Adventures of Lolo from Iggle Video at the same time; that one didn't see a whole lot of action.
