I'm more comfortable than Jack with Zombie Palin moving at a lumbering, George-Romero's-Dawn-Of-The-Dead pace than at a zippier, more adrenaline-fueled That-Crappy-Dawn-Of-The-Dead-remake pace. Cartooning being a time-consuming process and all. But is the plan to abruptly kill off the characters (and the feature) by the first Tuesday in November? Or to continue it indefinitely as a sort of shadow Vice Presidency to what hopefully will be a Democratic White House?
Yeah - Nick is only up to drawing four panels a week - it is very time consuming. I wish it could be up more often too, but that's the way it goes. I think we'll run it for at least the initial story that we plotted out, which was 7 strips long, so maybe we'll stretch it out until the inauguration. And if McCain wins, obviously, it stays topical for a lot longer, but I'll have to write it from another country.
Maybe you could adapt it so that each four-panel installment is more self-contained. Like John McCain makes a giant sandwich, then Sarah Palin says how much she hates Mondays, or whatever.
It's tough to cram too much into only 4 panels at a time - and again, that's the limit the Nick has the time to draw in a week. We try to get a couple jokes into every set of 4 panels that we have broken the main story into. Once the characters get a bit more established, we've written a few more joke-oriented 4 panel 1-offs. I hope that at the very least Zombie Palin is worth your patience.

I'm not gonna lie, Pete, Zombie Palin has to move a little faster than four panels a week.
