Publicly calling out God for your football mistake takes some serious kind of . . . something. I'm not religious but I still hope he learns the right lesson from this.
He did Tweet on Monday that he was "HAPPY & THANKFUL 4 YESTERDAY!" because "w/out Sunday [he]Wldnt have grew closer w/The Lord!!" So maybe he's on the right track.
There was a pretty funny Onion article with this exact premise about 10 years ago, but I can't find it in their online archive.
