New scanner at the office = image of the poem that I left in place of my presence at the University of Wynwood/O, Miami office, back in August-October:
Have you ever thought about mastering regular expressions as a mode of poetic expression? You're probably about 30% of the way there. (And I mean that much less sarcastically than it looks on the screen when I read it back to myself.)
Hmmm... maybe you can make the regex version of that poem for me instead. Something presentable as a hypertext, that'd actually be kind of cool.
I think, if I get romantic about the process, I want to say things like, "with this poem, I am writing myself out of language," which is very silly, and of course, quite false, but then, if I was writing myself explicitly into some kind of re-presentable code, that'd be kinda interesting.
